My Dear Airline Bowlers,

First of all, please do accept my apologies for delay in announcing my programme, as I know that all our bowling colleagues are eagerly waiting for the next FEIBT. Due to the economic downturn, the currency Thai Baht, has become very strong, resulting in the costs in USD to jump to very high levels. And especially for the forthcoming 18^th FEIBT, we are going to spend our holiday time at 5-star beach resorts for more number of days than the previous FEIBT, I have done my best to control the costs in order to pull down the package amount reasonably, without compromising on the variety and quality of entertainment. The overall package cost may seem higher than the 17^th FEIBT for the reasons mentioned above, but I guarantee you all that you are sure get a great value for your money. A look at the programme schedule will give you an idea about the fun-filled arrangements made for this year’s FEIBT and undoubtedly you will enjoy far more than you did during the previous tournaments !

The 18^th FEIBT is planned to be held in PATTAYA from 1^st November to 7^th November 2011. As a habit, this year also we will be providing some different kind of entertainment so that you get a new and unique experience. At the same time the usual fun, friendliness and Thai hospitality will be maintained and you will not miss out on the vibrant atmosphere and mouth-watering Thai cuisine for which the lovely Thailand is popular..

To give the bowlers and supporters maximum benefit for their visit, so that they can spend a lot of time shopping and relaxing on the wide-spread beautiful Pattaya beaches, we have decided to conduct only ONE SQUAD for every event, each day in the P.S. Bowl which is a 32-lane computerized bowling alley located at central Pattaya.

We look forward to get together once again at your favourite place. Thank you all for your usual support, as always and hope to see you all again in BANGKOK, RAYONG and PATTAYA this November.

SHORT BRIEF ABOUT RAYONG PROVINCE

For a change, just before the tournament commences, I am contemplating on holding the Welcome Party on the beach at Rayong Province which is en route to Pattaya. Rayong Province is located along the eastern coastline of Thailand, around 220 kms. from Bangkok, full of exotic beaches and private resorts. For your comfortable stay, NOVOTEL Rayong Rim Pae Resort has been selected. The city of Rayong has many restaurants, gifts and souvenir shops specialising in sea-shell handicraft products for decorating your homes. For the afternoon lunch, we will visit famous Guinness world record holder restaurant, World Toilet Champion, name “TAMNANPAR”, inside the pure atmosphere of the lush green forest jungle and artificial waterfalls. This restaurant can accommodate 2,500 guests. After some post-lunch shopping, we will go straight to the hotel and get ready for some sport activities (among our colleagues) like Chair-ball, Volleyball and Tug-of-war, by grouping 6 teams – SK, EK, SQ, BA, Mixed team and FEIBT team. All sports will be played on the beach. This is the FIRST TIME EVER that a bowling tournament will be combined with other Sports Activities, but this is intentionally done so all you guys can have more fun! And then, brace yourself for the Welcome Dinner Party with International and seafood BBQ, Music and Drinks. After the dinner, I have also organized for an optional trip on the real fisherman boat, out into the deep sea for squid hunting, to those who wish to have the real experience of Squid Fishing. But this requires a minimum of 10-40 persons.

PATTAYA FLOATING MARKET

Pattaya Floating Market, the biggest man made floating market in the world, is located on the outskirts of Pattaya and is the Pattaya’s latest attraction which is situated on an approximate area of more than 100,000 square meters. It is divided into 4 separate parts, each with its own unique location, representing the four regions of Thailand : Northern, Central, North-Eastern and Southern region and offering a special blend of differing traditions. More than 80 paddle boats are on standby to ferry visitors around the compound along many Thai style teak wood buildings linked by a network of canals, bridges. After the boat trip, Skywalker Sling Adventure is waiting to challenge your courage.

ABOUT PATTAYA

Pattaya is one of the world’s most famous beach resorts and must be seen by anyone visiting Thailand for holiday or pleasure. It is located at about 150 kilometres from Bangkok along the eastern coastline. Pattaya is full of entertainment, shopping, great beaches and resorts, grand hotels, multi-cuisine restaurants, night-life etc. It has been called the ASIAN HAWAII where we are going to spend 4 nights at one of the most luxurious hotels PULLMAN PATTAYA AISAWAN HOTEL having a total of 353 guestrooms, free Wi-Fi internet access, Breakfast Restaurant will be at the beach side, Beach Bar and Pool bat, 2 huge swimming pools, Sunset Lounge and the most high-tech Infinity Ballroom for our “Award Ceremony and Farewell Gala Dinner with Hawaiian theme”. P.S. BOWL is located at the Pattaya Centre on the Central Pattaya Road. It has 32 lanes which are fully computerized and various local and international bowling tournaments are organised at this alley.

MEETING POINT

It is our tradition to meet at a common point before we continue with our tournament programme. NOVOTEL BANGKOK FENIX PLOENCHIT has been chosen specifically for this purpose. We will stay there for one night to make Registration, Team Captain’s meeting to briefly discuss tournament rules and reconfirm the final programme to all the participating airlines and make sure that we are on the same sheet. The best part about this hotel is that it is located along the Sukhumvit road, Ploenchit area and the BTS Sky Train station is right in front of the hotel.
